Shawn Siegele profiles the nine biggest veteran running winners following the 2023 NFL draft. Just how high do they climb now, and which four still look undervalued in the opening days of Best Ball Mania IV?

The RotoViz team had a blast with our NFL draft reactions over the weekend and released Volume 3 of the Rookie Guide on Monday morning. We’ll have a lot more rookie content as we head into the beginning of RV TriFlex rookie drafts this weekend, but I wanted to look at the other side of the equation today.

For veteran RBs who avoided an early-round rookie parachuting into their depth charts, it’s a new day as they head into summer workouts. The impact on best ball drafts is equally massive. As we head into the opening days of Best Ball Mania IV, a handful of incumbent runners no longer have to worry about splitting touches with dynamic rookies.

In this exercise, I’m going to investigate the landscape for nine of the biggest RB winners and compare my updated Underdog rankings with their early ADPs.

Could five of these backs end up on the perfect roster? Last year King Kap won $1 million by taking down the regular season title in BBM3. His greatest-of-all-time roster included Miles Sanders, Ken Walker, Rachaad White, Dameon Pierce, and Khalil Herbert on an unstoppable Zero RB juggernaut. While rookies played a huge role, Sanders and his elite regular-season performance drove the team to riches. I’ve recently suggested a new candidate for the 2023 Sanders, and today we’ll break down the prospects for trendy draft winners.

Veteran RB Winners: 4 to Target, 3 to Draft, 2 to Avoid
